We are a loving and welcoming community of believers, dedicated to spreading the word of God and serving the needs of our neighbors. Our church has a rich history dating back to 1915. We are the oldest church in the city of South Miami, Florida. We are proud to be a part of the African Methodist Episcopal tradition.

ABOUT OUR CHURCH
Founded in 1915, Historic St. John is the oldest church in the city of South Miami. Our Mission is to offer sound teaching and preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that is relevant to people of all ages and backgrounds providing positive community outreach, unity, love and complete acceptance in order to lead people to a better relationship with God.
ABOUT OUR PASTOR
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, the Reverend Michael Clark, Jr. is an honors graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, VA, and the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Ricmond, VA. He previously served as a youth pastor. Besides pastoring, he is a chemistry teacher for Broward County Public Schools.
